Very, very good breakfast! (Really good bucwheat pancakes)

I was given a homemade strawberry rhubarb pie from the Putney diner for Mother’s Day It is my favorite kind of pie. It was amazing! Nice flakey crust, sweet tart fruit Filling. If all of the food taste this good it is definitely worth stopping at.

This little diner serves food so tasty, I can’t get enough of it. Service Is good but it surprised me to see the staff on their phones, they could/should have been more attentive. Nevertheless this place is worth it.

Wonderfull place, the Thanksgiving Day After Sandwich was amazing, hamburger was juicy, and the Popeye Omelet with swiss cheese was delicious. The cook can cook! Talking with her made the experience very enjoyable.Thinking of stopping by on our way back home!

About twice a year we drive up to Putney to go to Basketville AND the Putney Diner! Its a family tradition. We LOVE the diner, the food and the staff. Its the Vermont experience par excellance! Its great to sit with the local residents and the other tourists and talk with the staff. I Love Vermont!

This is a great place for breakfast. They have those home fries that you can't quite make at home.Prompt service, great omelets.

Putney Diner has been a fixture in town for many many decades. Where locals and visitors are equally comfortable and likely to find a meal to please. From simple buckwheat pancakes with real butter and pure Vermont maple syrup to some hearty good home cooking. Always a great selection of homemade desserts. A fun place in all seasons. There a few hidden tables for a private meal over quiet conversation, tables out in the open where you can mingle while dining, and stools with spinning seats at the counter.

Excellent homemade food, friendly and efficient staff. Great coffee and the buttermilk blueberry pancakes are incredible, with fresh blueberries and local maple syrup. Heartily recommended!

I eat here at least once a week. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. They did an amazing job serving customers through the pandemic with their takeout service. So happy that the dining room is finally open. But the seating is limited in order to accommodate distancing between diner patrons. The staff is diligent about wiping down all surfaces with disinfectant. Face masks are required for service. The owner, Eleni, is a pleasure to be around. Vermont is lucky to have her. The turkey sandwich is great. It's not your typical deli meat sandwich. It is a thick slab of turkey meat in a sandwich. Very satisfying.

If you're looking for a meal in Putney, you can get one here. It won't be memorable, but it won't be terrible, either. The desserts are probably the best part. The small dining room could use a thorough cleaning and maybe a coat of paint. The windows could use a washing.

Made a pit stop during a long distance trip to NJ from NH and what started out as little eerie(little shack out of nowhere) for city slickers but turned out to be very friendly and good food.

I have been here several times and never had a bad experience, staff are always exceedingly friendly, food is very good as well, love their spinach avocado omelet with cheddar cheese. Coffee is great! Love coming here!

Great little diner in Putney, VT. The Challlah Cinnamon Frenchtoast was the best French toast I've ever had and the real maple syrup was golden and delicious.

Our favorite for breakfast. A good variety of offerings, friendly staff, reasonable prices. My current fave is their Popeye omelet filled with fresh spinach and cheese, but many great options to choose from. Highly recommended.

Love this place, we stop whenever in the area. Had the grilled veggie wrap with awesome mashed potatoes! Laura had grilled cheese and avacado on sourdough bread. Delicious!

Our go-to breakfast spot off 91 when in Vermont! Quick service - in and out!

We decided to stop at the Putney Dinner on our way from Massachusetts to the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The diner is less than a mile from route 91. Upon arriving, we were welcomed and told to choose our table. It was midmorning and there weren't many customers. The waitress was very nice and took good care of us. The food we ordered proved to be very well prepared and quite tasty. If I lived closer, I would make the Putney Diner into a regular stopping place.

Food was gross. Waitress disappeared and she didnt even ask us how the food was. Waited about 5 minutes by the register to pay with no one there. Will never come back...

Great service and delicious food! We met a friend here for lunch and I'm glad he picked the Putney Diner. I also grabbed a few pieces of pie and a muffin to go. Everything was wonderful!
